SOC Capital (“SOC”) was founded by Stephen O’Connell, CFA following a career spanning private equity, asset management, investment banking and operational finance - including serving as CFO and founding partner for a fast-growing private company. Since founding SOC, Stephen has also served as Vice President of the Board of DominionX, where he helped lead its inception through the initial acquisition of Dominion Siding, and further growth through subsequent add-on acquisition of Royal Exteriors, while building out the company's financial infrastructure and guiding it through a successful 2026 recapitalization.

SOC is an operating partner and independent sponsor for lower middle market businesses, with a particular focus on Construction / Building Products, and selective evaluation of opportunities in Energy & Environmental Services and Infrastructure & Utility Services.

SOC seeks both buy-out and recap (majority and minority) opportunities, as well as select roles serving as a contracted operating partner or CFO to help grow a business alongside existing management or ownership.
